In honour of one of the many brave men that volunteered to join the RAAF when they heard news that Australia had joined WWII.  This particular Light Horseman was on a march and not far from Cooroy when his acceptance into the RAAF was communicated to him by telegram.  He sold his home in Cooroy, caught the train to Brisbane and went to fight for his country as a Beaufighter Pilot.
