Saia Hanlon

Hanlon – A name synonymous with premier session & touring drumming in Australia, has been re-shaped for a new generation, with the emergence of Saia Hanlon, Tommy’s son and heir-apparent.

From a young age Saia was thrust into the dynamic world of music, and drumming, and all the influence it has to offer. So-much-so, that after picking up his first set of sticks at 6, by 14 years of age, Saia had secured his first Gold Coast Battle-of-the-Bands win. He is now in demand, Australia and world-wide, securing slots with artists as diverse as 2009 Australian Idol winner, Stan Walker, to musical legends, like Brian Cadd.

Saia Hanlon - Dingo Creek Jazz and Blues Festival

Saia has most recently completed a successful tour of the US, on the highly lucrative college-tour, with Gold Coast rockers, Max Judo. On the local scene Saia continues to “wow” crowds with his unique style.

A busy summer festival season has just been completed, and Saia is now set to hit the studios again. With the ability to switch between jazz, rock, funk, and Latin, at the “drop of a hat”, Saia has the chops to bring a professional, yet dynamic sound to any project he is selected for.
